This was an interesting project. This was a two floor home within an old Mill Building which had been converted to Condominium units back in the 1980ís.The existing space on the first floor consisted of an open concept living and dining area with a separate galley style kitchen. At the rear of the room was a small bath with the bedrooms located on the second floor.

The Homeowner being a sports buff had just purchased the unit and wanted to open all the space on the first floor (with the exception of the bathroom- obviously).Being that the unit was inside the walls of a brick building, the existing walls for the kitchen would be a manageable demo project. After removing the old kitchen and its dark, closed in walls, the entire room was opened up.

The kitchen and bar were to be the centerpiece, and since the homeowner was also an avid golfer, we created a bar made out of Walnut in the shape of a driver. With cabinetry the whole length (16 feet), including a custom made wine rack at the end of the bar.

This transformation was another delightful project that combined the elements of history (Mill building brick) with modern touches.
